​President
Preside over official meetings and serve as the CMA representative. Develop and general session and Executive Committee [EC] agendas with the vice-president. Coordinate activities of the EC to ensure implementation of all external and internal tasks. Maintain communication with EC members to limit disharmony. Delegate any duties he/she is unable of doing. Present ideas and propose direction for the organization. Uphold the constitution of the organization. Produce an official transition report at the close of the term of office.

 

Vice-President
Preside over EC in the absence of the president. Provide all-around support for EC and develop action plans and goals for their respective.   Develop and general session and EC agendas with president. Perform any assigned task delegated by the president. Receive all officer monthly reports. Gather information for monthly regional report and any annual reports. Create an annual banquet. Produce an official transition report at the close of the term of office.

 

Treasurer
Maintain organization's accounts. Determine, along with EC, the allocation of CMA funds. Draft annual budget to be reviewed by the student government committee.  Developing and selling NC State items, such as T -shirts. Developing and implementing fundraising ideas. Providing the chapter secretary with copies of all correspondence. Produce an official transition report at the close of the term of office

 

Secretary
Gather information from other EC members to develop calendar for academic year. Reserve rooms for general session and executive board meetings. Send and receive all correspondence. Provide all correspondence to chapter president and appropriate EC members. Copy and file all correspondence. Keep attendance at meetings. Record and distribute minutes (Minutes must be typed a week after designated meeting). Maintain accurate records of all documentation pertaining to the organization. Assist in agenda preparation. Keep copy of members, majors, etc., provided by the membership chairperson. Produce an official transition report at the close of the term of office.


Programs Chairperson​
Developing and organizing workshop ideas. Soliciting fundraising ideas from the EC and the general membership. Holding a minimum of two fundraising functions a semester. Produce an official transition report at the close of the term of office.


Communications/Publications Chairperson
Maintaining chapter homepage. Maintaining CMA listserv. Distributing, to appropriate people, any information generated electronically. Advertising all functions being hosted by CMA. Utilizing innovative ways to relay information. Maintaining records of all upcoming events (i.e. speakers, workshops, social outings, happenings around campus). Producing an official transition report at the close of the term of office.


Membership Chairperson
Organizing at membership drives each semester. Maintaining an accurate membership database. Targeting membership from specific groups (i.e. underrepresented demographics) Providing chapter secretary with all membership information. Producing an official transition report at the close of the term of office.

Any member of CMA is eligible for a chapter elected office who meets the following criteria:

  •  Has a minimum cumulative grade point average 2.5

  • ​ Is classified as a full-time student prior to the beginning of the     elected term.​

​

  • ​ Membership Chairperson  

  •  Communications/Publications Chairperson
